- Dear Mr. Darras Thank you. Thank you for establishing the Frank N. Darras Moot Court Competition. Thank you for providing me the opportunity to participate in a forum that focuses on disability law and thank you for the prizes you awarded our efforts. Participating in Moot Court last weekend was one of the most rewarding experiences of my law school education. When I decided to go to law school after so many years out of academia, it was because I got tired of saying “That’s not right” when I saw people being treated unfairly. It is such a pleasure that in my last month of classes I have been able to come full circle participating in a moot court competition focusing on disability law, the type of law I want to practice. It was an honor to meet you and argue in front of you. I will be taking the Bar in July and hope to work with you in the future.- Robin S.
- Dear Mr. Darras Your team helped my parents with their successful lawsuit against Conseco/Washington National Insurance last year. I regret to tell you that my father, passed away. Months before he passed, he was very satisfied to know that their insurance company was held accountable and had to pay for their bad behavior. I want to tell you about another lovely thing that you did for our family. You put together "resumes", of sorts, for my parents. (You talked about the purpose in your email below.) At a memorial for my father, I wanted to have a slide show of photos so that folks could remember him. Well, I looked at the "resumes" that you prepared and I decided that everyone should see them. In an impromptu eulogy for my father I repeated much of what we captured in those few slides. It turned out to be very moving for everyone there. So you succeeded very well in making people "aware of what amazing people [my] parents are" -- probably well beyond your own expectations. Thank you for your help and the personal touch.- Fondly,
Pete N.
